This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to the PaytoMe mobile application for iOS and Android and to no other product or website.
The personal details you save for filling in claim forms — your name, postal address, email address and phone number (your “Claim Profile”) — are stored only in your device’s secure keychain/keystore. They are never uploaded to our servers and we cannot see, access, or recover them. When you file a claim, the App fills these details into the official settlement administrator’s own web form on your device; that information goes directly from you to the administrator, not through us.
We never ask for, collect, or store: Social Security numbers, bank account or routing numbers, payment card numbers, or government ID numbers. If any form asks you for these, you are on the settlement administrator’s website, and their privacy policy applies.
| Category | Details | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Account identifiers | A pseudonymous subject identifier from Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In; the name you choose to share at sign-in; an internal user ID | Creating and operating your account |
| Purchase records | Subscription status, Claim Pack purchases and remaining filing credits, store transaction identifiers (processed via Apple App Store / Google Play and RevenueCat) | Delivering what you paid for; restoring purchases |
| Claim activity | Which settlements you viewed, filed, or set reminders for (identified by case, not by your Claim Profile) | Showing your claim status, counts and reminders |
| Invite data | Your invite code and the pseudonymous relationship between inviter and invitee accounts | Operating the invite-reward program |
| Device and usage data | Device model, OS version, language, time zone, IP-derived coarse location, app interaction events, crash logs | Analytics, stability, fraud prevention |
| Advertising identifiers | IDFA (only with your App Tracking Transparency consent on iOS) / GAID | Advertising and install attribution |
| Push token | A device push notification token | Deadline reminders and claim notifications, if you enable them |
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf: Apple (sign-in, purchases, push), Google (sign-in, purchases, push, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics), RevenueCat (purchase management), AppLovin (advertising), and Singular (install attribution). Advertising and attribution partners may use device identifiers as described above; on iOS this only happens if you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt. We do not sell your personal information for money. Where the use of advertising identifiers constitutes “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under certain US state laws, you can opt out as described in Section 6.
To operate the App and your account; to process purchases and grant filing credits or membership (including invite rewards); to show you settlements and send reminders you asked for; to measure and improve the App; to show advertising to non-subscribers; to prevent fraud and abuse; and to comply with law. We do not use your information to determine your eligibility for any settlement — eligibility is decided solely by the settlement administrator.
Account and purchase records are kept while your account exists and as required for accounting and legal obligations. Your Claim Profile lives only on your device: deleting the App deletes it, and you can clear it in the App at any time. You may request deletion of your account and associated server-side data at any time from within the App or by emailing support@bitguide.zendesk.com; we honor verified requests within 30 days except where retention is required by law.
Tracking: on iOS, decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt (or change it in Settings > Privacy > Tracking) to prevent use of the IDFA. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in system settings. Notifications: control push permissions in system settings. Depending on where you live (for example California and other US states), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising, without discrimination for exercising them. Send requests to support@bitguide.zendesk.com; we will verify and respond as the applicable law requires. We do not knowingly respond differently to Global Privacy Control signals than to the in-App choices described here.
The App is intended for adults. Class action claims require legal capacity, and the App is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child has used the App, contact us and we will delete the data.
We are a Hong Kong company and use service providers that may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
All network traffic between the App and our servers uses TLS encryption. Claim Profile data is protected by your device’s hardware-backed keychain/keystore. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
PaytoMe is not a government agency, law firm, court, or settlement administrator, and is not affiliated with any of them. Settlement information is compiled from publicly available sources.
We will post any changes here and update the effective date. Material changes will be flagged in the App.
